New Releases: Fog Music (Part 1)

This week and next, we will be playing the recent “Fog Music” releases from Aural Films. Today, we’ll hear 1, 2, 3 and 5: Cousin SilasMister VaporRobert Scott Thompson and Wolfgang Gsell. Aural Films releases soundtracks for movies that do not exist, covering a wide range of styles ranging from the familiar to the obscure–often on the same release. The Fog Music series is a multi-album thematic release, and is a gorgeous and fascinating survey of different artists’ visions of fog. Light and dark, wet and dry, this invasive weather condition is a great source of inspiration for sound artists from around the world. This project seeks to publish 24 hours of these recordings as an on-going series for all to hear and enjoy. [powerpress] coverFog Music 1: Cousin Silas
